“Take My Hand” by Shane Turner

The aftermath of a disease that spreads through water droplets was the creation of  a new species of my kind. I’m called a ReVamp, ‘cause instead of the fangs of my forefathers, I have bloodsucking fingertips.

My prints are leech pads that satisfy my need to seduce and drain you dry–all from a safe and sustainable distance. Yes, my pet, I conjecture you are shy, so I’ll caper with you all evening, then hold your hand, such a comforting way to die.

This poetic flash was prepared for Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie Same Same But Different Saturday Mix.

The task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in your writing. That’s right, you need to dig out your thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead.

Your words are:

  1. change
  2. effect
  3. skip
  4. betray
  5. wonder

    1. Thank you. Revamp came up as a synonym and I thought, now that’s an interesting character.
