I’ll never forget my first concert. I was turning sixteen in two months time, so I spent the better part of the winter convincing my parents to let me go to see a concert an hour away in Norfolk, Virginia at the infamous Boathouse, a seedy venue that stretched out over the harbor and featured lots of grunge, rock and punk bands.
