Twenty-year-old Californian singer-songwriter Emmy Melis, aka EMMY, released a fiery new R&B track this week titled, “I Am Woman.” This song has quickly become a new anthem that redefines gender. EMMY tells music reports, “When I wrote this track, I was thinking about how amazing it made me feel to sign it– Even if it was just to myself. I hoped it would help heal people the way it did me, even if it was just a few.”
