As most of you know, I have an insatiable haiku habit that persists even during January’s usual hibernation. Here are some of my favorites from the month that have been lying low waiting for the right moment to emerge. Enjoy!

  1. The Jan 27 one took my breath away. My other favourites are Jan 17 and Jan 24. But they’re all beautiful and thoughtful and interesting.

    1. Thank you kindly, Worms. That lake on the 27th was breathtaking. I remember we sat for hours just looking out on the lake while
the children played. It was a slice of paradise.

  2. Amazing, all. This one is my fav, “Earth’s third eye, the sun,
    closes its clairvoyant lid.
Rest now, weary sun.” That’s epic, K.

    1. Thank you, Jeff. Penned at one of our favorite spots, the beach, of course. It sat in my journal from New Years. I really appreciate you reading and leaving me kind comments. Makes me smile each time. 😊

      1. You’re welcome, K. Always. Ah, yes, the beach. I’m actually thinking about a trip to the coast next month. Oh, I’m so glad you shared it with us. It’s always my pleasure to read you, my dear friend. ☺️💛

  3. What a lovely collection. All my life I have been searching for true love and it’s simply peas and carrots. If only I’d known earlier!
