I am so pleased to announce that one of my haiku was published today on Pure Haiku. A huge thank you to Editor-in-Chief Freya Pickard for showcasing one of my haiku inspired by the season’s featured artist, Elisa Ang, and her painting,”Three Trees.” After reading my other creations, I would be honored if you traveled to Pure Haiku to read my published haiku.
Warm regards,
K.
Tree fork turned cradle.
Rest peacefully, infant snow,
in this brief season.
Winter’s bankrupt trees
form a charitable trust:
buried cash-dropped leaves.
With spindly branches
a ticklish timberline
soothes the itch of snow.
Left behind to freeze–
grief is the empty spaces
between winter trees.
