To Earth and Air

I am the girl with pussy willow hair,
tufts of clouds like
windblown linen.

I am the girl with sideways stare,
thatched roof bleached
 by summer’s steady grin.

I am the girl with a tired gaze,
full-lipped sun,
downward gaze.

In the looking glass puddle, I
see my solar flares.
