The Wisdom of Jack-Quadrille #127

Traded Bess for some beans,
but beans are seeds
planted proudly,
rooted in determination,
producing something from nothing-
rabbits in hats,
replenishing themselves,
magic fountains of youth.
The seeds of knowledge
offer the same truth,
should you plant them regularly,
encourage them to grow.

Seeds of knowledge should be planted, as for Jack and the Beanstalk–I always think of Sondheim’s Into the Woods. I think one needs to be careful. 😀

Love this- I have always been fascinated with this particular fairy-tale 😀 seeds have the potential to be anything.. one need only give it appropriate amount of nurturing. 😉

Clever! There is certainly something magical about seeds, no? Something from nothing is a ridiculously noble way of describing a plant. There’s a delicious amount of nudge nudge here, but you turned it towards a largely positive conclusion. Where I expected giants, you gave me knowledge. Dear me, I won’t complain.
