Years of collage crumbles
off the crooked sides
of a paper mache abyss.
The creative cliffs we scaled
as young lovers,
paintbrushes in our mouths,
combining the wet tips
to create new colors.
Picassos in our passion
endless strokes now
in decay.
Our romance rotted canvas.
