  3. Gorgeous. Love the tools and sprockets. I thought they were pastries until I enlarged.

      1. Are you saying the “tools” were really chocolates???? OMG..I thought they were rusty old tools. Amazing.

      2. Yes, a chocolatier was making them in one of the stalls. It is incredible.

      3. Damn, I want one of those wrenches and a few of the gears!!!! Such a clever idea. I never would have guessed but did wonder why they didn’t clean the rust and dust off those tools before selling them!

      4. I first saw chocolates like this in Germany, but it was nice to see a chocolatier closer to home. I got her card in case we ever need an item made from chocolate in the future. Might be one near you? I believe they call themselves chocolatiers. 😀

    1. It was our dry run, next weekend we have an appointment to see Santa. He’s like the holiday doctor here now. 😉

      1. Maybe you should see him in March next year, to avoid the stampede?

      2. Right; do you think he wears Bermuda shorts in summertime?

    1. Thank you, Hobbo. It was my first time at the boat parade. Good weather for walking the city yesterday, and we enjoyed the city.

  6. Was that the Christmas market downtown? I’ve missed the tree lighting every year

    1. I think there’s a couple of markets this year, a trend that is growing. This one was near downtown; a few blocks off. There is also one at DuPont Circle (artsy) and a third somewhere as well. We just walked around a bit, but it reminded us of Christmas overseas.

  7. I haven’t been to EAstern Market in ages. Need to put that in my DC list for next year
