Buildings lean in to see
the fine print of your face
which can’t be read
or believed.
Blips of blue,
lavender hues,
the blobs of me
touch
the blotches of you.

We were always messy up close,
but my myopia gives me hope;
I like things blurry now
that there are blind spots,
plastic panels and
permanent masks
between our daily interacts.

  1. Fascinating. The blobs and blotches touching. The buildings leaning in. I love it.

    1. Thanks, Worms. My myopia truly doesn’t bother me as much as it should. I leave my glasses behind to just enjoy the blur. Cheers.

      1. I am far sighted. I just recently got reading glasses but am a bit lax about using them. I need them for Middlemarch (small print) and ingredients on packets.

      2. Those ingredients are tiny aren’t they. Yes, As a heavy reader I’m headed that way too, I imagine.

    1. Thank you, Hobbo. Yes, it’s true. If only romance could continue at least ten feet apart. Everyone’s a movie star to me at that distance😂
