2022, you say I got a lot to learn.
It’s not like I’m trying not to learn.
This year is the perfect spot to learn.
Teach me to write.

So many things to learn in 2022:
like the difference between Covid and the common flu.
the secret ingredients to a story and good Brunswick stew.
how to make the familiar feel brand-spankin’ new.

So many things to unveil in 2022:
New friendships that wind like an unexplored trail.
How to celebrate victory alongside each fail.
or publish my novel and get soaring sales.

So many things for 2022 to define:
The perfect poem or glass of wine.
my imagination’s do not disturb sign.
The flesh of each fruit, as well as the vine.

2022, you say I got a lot to learn.
It’s not like I”m trying not to learn.
This year is the perfect spot to learn.
Teach me to write.

Flashback Track #50 asked us to ponder what we wanted to learn in 2022. Well, some of us ponder longer than others, what can I say? Do you have things you want to tackle in 2022? Do share.
