My Goldfish Gal

My goldfish gal,
swim upstream
against the currents
of cruel expectation.

You have the history
of a dragon’s wings,
imperial intention,
a labyrinth lung
of inner complexity.

Waterfalls will descend,
my goldfish gal,
leap them with laughter,
roam further than rejection,
and filter out others’ fears.

You have a blessing,
a purpose,
a secret to survival as
good luck guides you,
my goldfish gal.
