When I get that foamy feeling,
I find a shallow slough,
set the drag,
cast to sea.
Tug of tides on taut line,
the surf is numbing.
Bend of pole,
a fighting chance
in the skinny
amongst artificial flies
and flashy spinners,
a beach caster believes
in her sense of sea.

  3. Indeed. Almost time for a trip to the sea for me. Soon, and I’m ready.

      2. Thank you. It’s a nice one day starter and then we have off for the election. I am super excited to spend the day with my littles and perhaps with my journal as well. 💜
