Petite Pen~February 15, 2023

I realized there are no rules around this place. I can as easily share a petite pen on a Wednesday as I could on a Tuesday. It’s just the sort of chaos that appeals. If you feel bombarded by today’s image, please feel free to join me in penning some brevity, 30 words or less, to this stunning photograph by the talented blogger, Vovazinger.

Each Day is an Execution

Bombardment of the sun.
Pitchforked into oblivion.
Sunset, witch hunt,
the day’s secrets
hidden by downcast eyes.
Whatever piety exists,
pilgrims can keep it.
Someone bright to blame is
all most zealots want.
If you’ve got sparkle
better learn to run.

    If I were to ride my bike stick to Michigan and home, I have already ridden more than halfway there!

    Do it! When I ride, I feel a sense of freedom because it is so easy to go where my truck never can. Exploration opens up. 👍🏻😂

Like mouse says in the Matrix, “you see an Agent, you do what we do – run!” (I think it Cypher says it actually🤔) But you say it better lol. Witch hunts are scary man.

  Yes…. I love to run. But, it doesn’t mean I want to be chased. 🤣. Sad that all sorts of “witch hunts” still take place–in various forms and under various banners. Difference is scary, I suppose.

regaining insight
chaos

reigning supreme
in the night

and the day
serendipity plays
with my heart, and
my mind

reimagining
the whole of me
one fragment of being
at a time

  Magical response. Thank you for writing alongside me. 💜 I truly love the chiaroscuro, Jeff. It really heightens the drama in this piece and the photograph as well. The final fragments of a person divided between day/night or darkness and light. Such sweet serendipity every day.
