It’s that time of year for scavenging. I love antiques, and I often find treasures when searching through old artwork and furniture. If you’ also enjoy the quest for something one-of-a-kind, something flavorful, join me in penning some brevity, 30 words or less, to the Pixabay free image.

Happy Tuesday!

The Harvestmen

Empty decanters,
colorless blood,
lack of manners,
frenzied fuss.

Thirst for iron,
fermented plum,
hidden spectrum,
legs go numb.

Communal quest,
silk un-spun,
share the harvest
when heist is done.

  3. a fun poem 🙂 you don’t often see poems on scavenging; when I saw the title I thought of harvest spiders; I’m still trying to write my daddy-long-legs poem —

  5. Robert Smith is one of the most brilliant songwriters and musicians of the past 40 years, but also one of the oddest-looking (at least in terms of his hair & make-up).

    1. Agreed. The look of him with Mary Poole, unmistakable. The creepy vibe comes natural to that pair. I needed spiders and this song came to mind straight away.
