Happy Wednesday!

Orchestra of fallen leaves,
a walk in woods,
piano keys,
and flat and sharp
autumnal breeze.
squirrels and swirls,
my harvested imaginings,
as I conduct the season’s
spontaneous symphony
for the duration
of daylight.

    1. I’ve heard this but not experienced it. Don’t think I’d like it much.

      1. Neither would I, if you go far enough north at the right time of year, the sun would never set for a few weeks.

  4. This poem BEGS to be read out loud. It’s got such a beautiful rhythm. As it’s currently 90 degrees outside with a very white sun, this autumnal image feels like a wistful heaven.

    1. Thank you, Bridgette. We have soared to those temperature heights, but I adore the fall. It always exits too quickly around here.
