Shedding friends
like bobby pins.
Once they were permanent,
stuck in,
but the itching
and digging wasn’t right.
I’ve lost them in the
fallen up-do of my life.

Thank you! After three divorces, I find that I really do like my own company too, K. It’s also just being older. My sister and I had a conversation about this a while back, she is just a bit older and we have had the same experiences with marriage. We are in our “my time” part of life if that makes sense. Dating would be a hassle and not something either of us want.
Beautifully said …
Exactly, we don’t need any toxic relationships in our life…
Take care dear 😊♥️♥️

Oh, that’s too bad. I do not have a lot of childhood friends that I stay in contact with anymore. I think it is nice to have those old friends, but to know that paths diverge and remerge as live’s progress. I do hope I cross paths with some of these old friends sometime in the future.
Yes during times we get new friends. ☺️

Sometimes it’s necessary for peace of mind. Maybe not easy initially, but in the end, worth it.
