Fairy creatures gather round!
The summer sun will soon be stunned,
frozen stiff straight overhead;
the time for feasting has begun!

Pour out your most prized abundance
from highest peak and lowest crag,
and share your blessings as they flow
with all your favorite forest friends.

Recipes of ancient design:
fennel seeds to fuel the heart,
but don't forget to use the rinds,
passed thrice through fire for good luck.

While pixies play with china plates,
the morning dew revives the face.
Come, celebrate the fullness
of our bold and budding sun.

The tables set with lavender and rose
for 'tis the season when the tall grass grows,
and while the pantry may be all-a-flutter,
one swallow never made a summer.

    1. Thank you, Melissa. 💜 A little late to the party this year. But, that’s okay.

    1. Thank you, John. I’ve been fluttering around her myself today. No feast to show for it, but there are a couple of to-do’s done. 💜
