Strawberry blonde

buried in a flaky pastry bed.

Rumple her silver foil covers;

place her in a toaster tanning bed

and activate florescent red.

In a matter of seconds,

a golden brown goddess,

a sugary star.

She’s my lickable,

lovable,

biteable

Pop Tart.

    1. Thank you, John. To be honest, I haven’t had a pop tart in years, but as I’m feeling a bit under the weather, I was thinking one of those strawberry sugary things might be just what I need.

  6. I’ve never heard of pop tarts. I thought the toasted tart was a metaphor for a Barbie-type. Now I know that you can actually eat Barbies 🙂

  16. So much fun. We found out a few years ago that when our kids were little they used to hide Pop Tarts because it wasn’t something I usually bought for them.
