Dedication

existential, faith, Holiday, mystery, religion, surreal

Miracles are mysteries;
oil that lasts eightfold,
the tree of life survives;
limb by limb our
arboreal consciousness grows.

In the lone candle's glow,
more mysteries unfold.

Survival is a mystery.

Today is nothing more than consequence,
happenstance, and vast uncertainty.

The love we covet defies probability,
and when the mind is left stumbling 
on the slippery rocks of theory,
to carry on in the confusion takes courage.

Burning bush beyond control.

We beg the higher power to not go,
but faith takes persistence.

We know we can't survive alone,
but prayer requires patience.

So we are grateful 
for a seat at the banquet,
to sip life's great mysteries
and celebrate today
within hope's sharp shadow

even when so much remains unknown.

great ruminations, K; yes, Faith and Hope are hard sometimes but when employed are powerful; like that metaphor: ‘a seat at the banquet’: that we are so lucky —
