We're kindred,
though we don't know each other.

Sacred family,
olympic lovers,
flesh and blood
forsaking all others.

But a blink back,
you were my owner.

Slash of whip on bare back,
faithless father,
cruel controller.

I belong to you.
Work your fields.
Nurse your wounds.
Love you to death,
but even then,
it won't be over.

Now and then,
skin to skin,
we're kindred.
