The hungry dragon thinks the sun
a warm biscuit ready to be consumed.

The underfed tapestry thinks the thread
swirling on the loom's fork, future art.

The infant dandelion in the sidewalk's crib
thinks the sun his mother's dripping tit.

When we find ourselves with pains,
hunger or otherwise,
find satiety in the small gains;
beware of those that gluttonize.
