Th endless spiral staircase

winds wearisomely towards a tower

without a view.

The line is drawn-out

minutes move like hours,

doubt devours progress,

fear corkscrews.

When weak, paralyzed and

out of breath,

don’t regress,

don’t cower;

step into your power.

    1. Thank you so much, OP. I think this mantra is more for myself than I first realized. I’ve learned to endure, I suppose. I’m tough in ways I wish my younger self could have been. Cheers to Friday!

    1. Thank you, John. Yes, that fear is a daredevil. You never know when it will go into a spiral on you. I had a brush with it this past week.
