Skeletons will never learn to stride.
No, there’s simply no bicycle
awaiting us on the other side.
Death is not a race,
it’s a pendulum ride.
The inevitable weightless joy
of lifting from the ground.
Centripetal force reminds
us that every cycle’s round.
Our accomplishments minuscule
from a rocket in the sky.
A vessel filled with spirits
freed from space and time.
When we’ve lingered long enough
in life’s weary line,
God’s arm extends
to take us on
a final, gleeful glide.
