The ocean follows a morning routine.Water flosses the jetty teeth dislodging seaweed and debris,as the long yawn of breakerstrails after a snore. The sea stretching its fingers towards a new high-tide mark. The bubbly breakers scrub patiently the muscular shore, sore from the footfall and crumbling castles of the day before. The tide will rub the knots out,as the wind brushes tangles fromcurly green tresses offshore. No longer closed, the sun blinks, spilling a tall glass of something orangeonto the horizon, breaking its repose.Aquamarine, ready for anything, the ocean finishes its morning routine.©2025|K.F.Hartless

Love the water flossing the jetty teeth.
Thank you, Melissa. I think it was that image that came to me first, waiting for fishing boat at 6:30 am.
